Venture Founders
Reem is a native of Raqqa, Syria who is committed to improving the situation of refugee women. She has learned from her experience of displacement and loss, and the shared difficulty of starting a totally new life in a new society, that her compatriots need a lot of support in ways that are not being met. Her desire is to make change so that refugee women can speak their truths, get the help they need and advance in their new lives, despite the tragedy of war and its effect on women. She is earning a medical degree in Veterinary Science at Uludağ University in Bursa, Turkey. She teaches Arabic and English and loves art, reading and coffee. Reem is the founder of Sanad, a mobile application that offers Psychosocial support for women who speak Arabic.
