Co-Creation Lab: Turning Ideas Into Real Action
By convening community stakeholders at the table, each Lab accelerates promising ideas toward real impact through concrete actions and shared commitments.
What Is the Co-Creation Lab?
The Co-Creation Lab convenes community stakeholders — residents, entrepreneurs, civic leaders, universities, nonprofits, and businesses — around promising ideas that address challenges such as housing, mobility, health, and sustainability. In a focused session, participants map the problem, share data and insights, and co-design practical next steps.
Each Lab culminates in a Next Step Playbook that captures concrete actions, shared commitments, and resources to leverage. For funders, municipalities, and corporate partners, the process de-risks innovation by grounding potential solutions and approaches in community voice while aligning institutional resources. The outcome is an actionable roadmap that moves ideas toward real-world pilots and measurable impact.
Why It Matters
Break Down Barriers
Align government, business, nonprofits, and residents around shared priorities. By moving beyond silos, Labs create efficiency, reduce duplication, and unlock cross-sector momentum.
Leverage Community Voice and Networks
Engage residents most affected by challenges alongside civic, corporate, and nonprofit leaders. Solutions become credible, grounded in lived experience, and supported by strong networks.
Deliver an Actionable Roadmap
Each Lab produces a Next Step Playbook with concrete commitments, clear roles, and immediate actions. Partners leave with accountability and a clear path to pilot and measurable impact.
How It Works
Pre-Lab Discovery: We partner with civic, corporate, and nonprofit leaders to clarify the challenge, review data, and curate a cross-sector group of participants positioned to design actionable solutions.
Open Call for Ideas : Residents, entrepreneurs, and practitioners submit ideas rooted in lived experience. The strongest concepts are selected and integrated, ensuring the Lab reflects both community voice and expertise.
Lab Convening: In a one-day session, participants map systems, identify leverage points, and co-design practical next steps. The process blends community insight with institutional knowledge and resources.
Post-Lab Activation: Each Lab culminates in a Next Step Playbook with commitments, actions, and timelines. The most promising solutions are placed on a roadmap towards real-world pilots, creating accountability and measurable results.
