Founder Monique Curry-Mims, MBA and seasoned nonprofit and philanthropic leader, brings over 15 years of experience in social impact strategy. Through her work in philanthropy, civic consulting, and collective impact initiatives, she empowers foundations and nonprofits to collaborate more effectively and build sustainable community change.

Venture Founder
Monique Curry-Mims is a natural problem solver who dedicates her life to social impact and uplifting communities. With over 15 years of business and leadership experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, Monique is a Penn State MBA graduate with a BS in Digital Design from Philadelphia University and an MSEd from Walden University. As CEO and President of Empact Data Solutions, Monique works to empower impact where it’s needed. Under her leadership, Empact Data Solutions provides a wealth of analysis and strategy insight to the Philanthropic and social ecosystem through tools that allow for effective collaboration, tracking, and analysis of information to ensure all stakeholders are working together for a successful and sustainable societal impact. Additionally, Monique is the Principal and Civic Capital Consulting, an international Social Impact consulting firm that works with nonprofits, foundations, and government agencies on collective and organizational solutions. Through her consulting work and volunteering as Co-Steering Committee Member of the Philadelphia Black Giving Circle, Allocations Chair of the Union Benevolent Association, a 190-year-old Foundation, and the Convener of PHLanthropy Week, an annual week of events dedicated to uplifting Philadelphia’s philanthropic sector, she is a standout leader helping organizations overcome exploitative practices and promoting the voice and sustainability of underserved organizations and communities.
