Ecoplastile is a building materials manufacturer producing polymer construction materials such as roofing tiles and plastic timbers made from post-consumer plastic waste using a chemical-free process. Founder Franc Kamugyisha is an award-winning social entrepreneur and global sustainability leader, recognized by ALTIS Milan, SEED Low Carbon Award, Climate Launchpad Uganda, and EarthTech Challenge, among others. With an MBA in Entrepreneurship for Impact and participation in global accelerators from Washington DC to Berlin and Accra, Franc is transforming plastic waste into scalable construction solutions for both people and planet.

Venture Founder
Franc, Founder and CEO of Ecoplastile, is a multi-passionate serial & social entrepreneur with a vision to making the world a better place for humanity and the planet. Franc has won the ALTIS Milan and UMU Kampala Planet Award and King Hamad Youths Empowerment Award. Additionally, he is the 2020 YSI Global Solutions winner for COVID-19, 2020 EarthTech Challenge winner, 2020 TEF Award winner, 2019 SEED Low Carbon Award winner, 2019 Climate Launchpad Uganda winner, and was selected as 40 under 40- Uganda by the New Vision, Future, and Disrupt Africa. Franc has was selected and participated in the Halcyon Incubator Fellowship in Washington DC, Young Founder’s Program in Berlin, YALI East Africa, Autumn School for Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Accra Ghana, and AfriTech XYZ Accelerator Program in London. Franc currently lives in Uganda and has an Entrepreneurship for Impact MBA from the ALTIS Graduate School of Business and The Society of the University of Sacred Heart and UMU.
