Venture Founder
Samuel Baker is a student, founder, and innovator from Orlando dedicated to addressing sustainability challenges in industries that impact Florida’s environment. He began studying chemistry and working as an undergraduate researcher at UCF before co-founding WriggleBrew with his best friend, Gabriel, based on an ecologically safe fertilizer and pesticide they invented.
After launching WriggleBrew, Sam switched to economics to better prepare for entrepreneurship and is expected to complete his degree in December. At UCF, he also founded Knights of Trash, an anti-littering club, and worked as a drone pilot and geospatial researcher at the Citizen Science GIS Lab.
Through WriggleBrew, Sam has helped develop sustainable fertilizer and pesticide solutions, water-retaining soil, food waste recycling methods, and approaches to biodegrading Styrofoam. His long-term goal is to see eco-friendly fertilizers replace polluting and unsafe chemical mineral fertilizers worldwide.
