Venture Founders
Susan Namirimu is a Ugandan social entrepreneur, co-founder, and CEO of MODO. Born and raised in Uganda, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Economics from Gulu University. Her work focuses on developing Uganda’s fashion industry by growing talent through fashion entrepreneurship programs and creating dignified work for trained tailors at MODO’s factory.
For the past seven years, Susan has worked toward a more inclusive education system in Uganda by training out-of-school girls in tailoring, fashion design, and entrepreneurship. Alongside co-founder Morgan Ginn, she is growing MODO to empower women with opportunities to design their own futures.
Morgan Ginn is a social entrepreneur dedicated to creating opportunities for women and girls globally. A Florida native, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the University of Florida before moving to Uganda to begin her career in the social sector. She spent over two years as Communications and Development Manager at Cycle Connect, a social enterprise that finances income-generating tools for smallholder farmers.
In 2020, Morgan partnered with Susan Namirimu to launch MODO, a social enterprise empowering women in Uganda and the United States through fashion entrepreneurship. Guided by the belief that “all boats rise with the tide,” Morgan hopes MODO helps build a more sustainable, equitable, and empowering fashion industry.
