Tamika Vantifflin, the CEO and co-founder of AEGIS, believes in harnessing technology to make the world a safer place. Inspired by her sister’s experience as a survivor of sexual assault during a medical emergency, Tamika launched AEGIS to transform how we respond to personal safety crises. The app modernizes 911, emergency communication by providing silent, efficient connections to authorities without verbal communication, empowering users in moments where every second counts. AEGIS provides real-time data, including GPS location, medical details, and more, ensuring emergency responders have the critical information they need to act quickly.
Tamika is a passionate advocate for underserved communities, personal safety, and foster care and adoption, working tirelessly to ensure AEGIS reaches those who need it most. She studied business at DePaul University and is driven to build resilient, inclusive communities through technology and empathy.
