Venture Founder
Rich Gilliam is an engineering storyteller and the CEO and founder of STEM PLUG, a social enterprise using storytelling, robotics, and emerging technologies to spark innovation in underserved communities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Saint Augustine’s University and a master’s in education technology and entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
His bestselling STEM children's book series has impacted thousands of students worldwide, combining relatable characters with real-world problem-solving. Through his innovations in robotics, he helps kids engage in hands-on learning while understanding how STEM applies to their everyday lives. Rich is recognized as a thought leader in North Carolina for his work in equitable STEM education and community innovation.
