Sense-ational You designs adaptive apparel for autistic and ADHD children who need support with sensory regulation to succeed and be included. Founder Julia DeNey, a Cornell graduate in Fashion Design who later taught special education, combined her design expertise and classroom experience to create clothing solutions that support neurodivergent children’s comfort and inclusion.

Venture Founder
Julia DeNey, the founder and CEO of Sense-ational You, is working towards making the world more inclusive for neurodivergent children. She graduated from Cornell University during the lockdown in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design and began teaching special education to autistic students. She saw her students struggle with sensory regulation, which affected their learning and inclusion with their peers. She decided to use her expertise in design to create a line of adaptive clothing to help them.
Julia was selected as a finalist for CNMI's Sustainable Fashion Awards for this work during Milan Fashion Week in 2023 and was selected as a fellow in the StartUp Leadership Program in 2024.
