Venture Founder
Dietrich Ruehlmann, Ph.D., MBA, is a product development leader with a 15+ year track record in environmental monitoring, IoT systems, and education technology. As Managing Partner of GaiaXus, he has led the development and global deployment of low-cost water quality sensors for STEM education and citizen science, with pilots from Kenya to Hawaii. Previously at Medtronic, he launched wireless patient monitoring systems for low-resource healthcare settings. His work bridges cutting-edge technology with social equity, helping underserved communities access tools for environmental resilience and educational advancement. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology and an Executive MBA from the University of Maryland.
