From Idea to Impact: Inside Rally’s Intro to Social Entrepreneurship Workshop

Every big idea starts somewhere. Maybe it’s a spark from a lived experience, a problem you can’t stop thinking about, or a question that keeps you up at night: What if there’s a better way?
At Rally, we believe those questions are the foundation of social entrepreneurship—the practice of building solutions that make life better for people and the planet. Since 2017, Rally has helped over 100 mission-driven founders across Central Florida move from idea to pilot-ready venture, tackling challenges from affordable housing to health equity to environmental sustainability.
Our Intro to Social Entrepreneurship Workshop is where that journey begins.
What It Is
The Intro Workshop is a free, monthly, one-hour virtual session designed to help aspiring changemakers explore how business can be used as a tool for social and environmental good.
Led by the Rally team, participants learn:
• What social entrepreneurship really means—and how it’s different from traditional business or charity.
• How to identify the problem you want to solve and the people most affected by it.
• The two challenges every social venture must tackle before it can scale.
• Real founder stories from people who turned community problems into viable ventures.
You’ll also gain access to practical tools that help you design and test your idea, including:

• Unique Value Proposition Guide
• Theory of Change Canvas
• MVP Design & Validation Templates
No long lectures—just a guided, interactive space to think deeply and start shaping your idea into something real.

Where It Leads
Many of our Fellows began their journey right here. After attending the Intro Workshop, joining the accelerator, some went on to launch pilots, join other accelerators, or receive early-stage funding. Others used the tools to refine their ideas and return to Rally ready for the next phase.
This workshop isn’t just an introduction—it’s an open door into Central Florida’s growing social innovation ecosystem. From here, you can:
• Join the Rally Accelerator and spend four months building a venture that’s pilot-ready.
• Take part in Co-Creation Labs to connect with civic and community partners ready to test new solutions.
• Engage in Scale Up programs that help established ventures grow their reach and impact.
• Attend the Rally Showcase to see current Fellows present their ventures live—real examples of what can happen when ideas take shape inside the Living Lab.
On November 4, you’ll have the unique chance to see our current entrepreneurs in action during the Virtual Living Lab Showcase, just weeks after the October 14 workshop.
